The Saluda Medical Center, a private non-profit rural health center and medical facility located a short distance from downtown Saluda, was created over thirty years ago in response to a lack of critical medical resources and physicians in the area. Governed by a local, volunteer Board of Trustees and supported by the NC Office of Rural Health and Community Care, we are the only rural health center in the area that receives state funding for services based upon a sliding fee scale, for which the uninsured can qualify.
The Center is committed to providing quality family medical care and reaching out to people from all walks of life, regardless of their circumstance. We accept most major insurance carriers including Medicare and Medicaid and are staffed by medical providers and support staff, all of whom are dedicated to healing. While we are focused on providing the best medical care possible, we are active in our search for new collaborations with related health services in Polk and the surrounding counties.
